Country laid back kind of place, quiet and convenient oh by the way the post before this one evidently thinks she knows who other people voted for then starts putting labels on them in my humble opinion my want to go camp under a bridge in atlanta I think she would feel more at home
Small and quiet campground, my boys have enjoyed themselves so far!!! Oh and you can't beat the price or friendliness of the owner!!!
Excellent place to stay. As travelers for work, we always try to find a place that is quiet and friendly.........and we did. We will be back. Thank you John for the near perfect hospitality.
Bottom line, yes the site was $20 a night and if you are looking for a long term, Trump loving, Deliverence themed situation, you would love this place. It's more of a trailer park than a campground.
I'm perplexed by the reviews that say family friendly. If our grandchildren had been with us, we would have had to leave. There are many long term rv campers ( 3 years I was told) , several were loudly bragging about being white supremacists. I've never heard such ignorant and horribly racist language in my life. There were two hard time served felons bragging about crimes against humanity. Maybe it was just the crowd I was around during my stay or maybe they were more permanent residents but it had a worst of the south, Trump loving vibe.
The one star is because my dog did enjoy swimming in the creek.
On our list not to revisit or recommend.
Actually -1. Handicap access, ramp way too steep. Office, when I took ahold of the hand railing it came off in me hand. Bathrooms, almost nothing works. Exposed plumbing no water in sink, needs rebuilding. campsite, utilities worked but water bib is below grade. It’s in a hole that can fill with water if it rains or leaks. Water Nozzle had to be cleaned off before use and there is no telling what could have been in the nozzle. Price $40 a night, way too high. Park full of residents, which account for all the 4 star and 5 star reviews. Lastly, a resident trailer had several visitors and were drinking and very noisy until past 11pm.
We did pass this info on to John the owner who acted as he knew nothing of it. Other campers said they'd been complaining to deaf ears.
There were 3 tent sites on the creek with shade trees. The rest put you in full sun . There are only two picnic tables. The wifi only works near the bath house. Also, they are downhill so if it rains, you have to move to higher ground near the rv's where we got the earful of white supremacy. It wasn't our crowd.
There were some nice people like the caretaker, Danny. The bathrooms were in bad disrepair. Dirty, no running water to wash your hands in the sink, toilets clogged up, only one tiny shower actually worked but the bathroom was so filthy, it was questionable if I'd come out more dirty than clean.
